What’s in our Strawberry Fields Box?

Strawberry Fields, which was our featured box from April, is packed full of ingredients featuring bright botanicals and tart berry flavors. Each component of the drink was thoughtfully chosen to make you feel like you’re enjoying your cocktail in a literal field of strawberries.

The base of the drink is made up of a sparkling schisandra berry tea from Rishi. Schisandra, known as the “five flavor berry” brings a unique mix of flavors with both sweet and sour notes, and the bubbly, carbonated tea keeps it light and perfect for spring.

As a compliment to the schisandra berry, Octavia passion fruit tea brings in sweet, floral notes of passion fruit and hibiscus rooibos. The tea is caffeine-free and rich in antioxidants, adding a health boost alongside the bright flavor.

Rounding out the recipe is a strawberry rhubarb conserve from Tait Farms. Equal parts sweet and tart, strawberry rhubarb makes for a classic spring flavor, and the recipe from Tait farms is packed with over half a pound of fresh fruit per jar. It serves as a natural sweetener for the earthier botanical flavors of the tea, and after you’ve finished your drinks, it’s great on a piece of toast!

And of course, no drink is complete without a drop or two of bitters. For this box, we chose All the Bitter’s 100% alcohol-free New Orleans style bitters.  ints of tart cherry, hibiscus, and schisandra berry help to bring out those same flavors in the tea, and adds an overall richness to the cocktail. These ingredients all come together to create our Strawberry Fields cocktail. You can make one yourself by following the recipe below, or see the recipe in action on TikTok!
