Everything you’ll find in our Spellbound Non-Alcoholic Cocktail Box.
We see in your cards that September is bringing good taste, vibrant flavor, and a perfectly curated lineup of non-alcoholic elixirs. Meet Spellbound, our September non-alcoholic cocktail box, filled with everything you need to mix your way into a new season.
Were we inspired by the upcoming Practical Magic 2 premiere and our need to watch Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman be the witches we know and love while dealing with love, magic, and a generational curse? Absolutely. Because we need a drink for that!!! Preferably one that’s non-alcoholic, looks beautiful, and tastes even better.
This month, you’ll find four recipes instead of our usual three, including three mixed drinks that give us a little reading of your past, present, and future. Here’s what we’re seeing:
Past: bright, tart pomegranate Present: fruity ginger and bittersweet botanicals Future: rich, creamy, and a little indulgent And one final card for what the rest of the year has in store? Something rosy, sparkling, and absolutely worth celebrating.
But we’ll get into all of that below. So let’s jump into the ingredients that make our Spellbound box what it is.
Our main spirit this month is the gorgeous Wilfred’s Non-Alcoholic Aperitif from the UK. Bittersweet, botanical, and incredibly versatile, it brings together notes of orange, rosemary, rhubarb, and clove that shift beautifully depending on what you pair it with.
And it’s not just us who are fans. Wilfred’s has earned plenty of recognition, including being named one of The New York Times’ best non-alcoholic drinks five years in a row and a top pick from America’s Test Kitchen.
You’ll receive a full bottle, so there’s plenty to explore beyond this month’s recipes. Keep it simple with two ounces topped with sparkling water for an easy spritz, or mix it into something a little more complex, like a zero-proof Negroni.
For our featured ready-to-drink, we’re pouring Curious Elixir No. 9, a sparkling rosé-style blend that brings cocktail-level complexity without asking you to do any of the mixing.
There’s lots of magic happening inside this beautifully crafted bottle. Chardonnay grapes, rose, California poppy, South African kanna, and French oak come together to create layers of fruit, florals, minerality, and depth. Each ingredient has a purpose, which we absolutely love, and it all works together to help you unwind. Plus, it’s made with organic ingredients and no natural flavors, refined sugar, or preservatives.
Since it’s made with natural ingredients, you may notice a little sediment at the bottom. Totally normal! Just chill the bottle, gently invert it twice to mix everything back together, then pour into your favorite coupe or over ice. Garnish with abandon, friends. We recommend fresh lime or raspberries!
The entire goal behind Root Elixirs is to make great drinks easy, and oh, do they. Based in San Luis Obispo, California, their range is a perfect example of how approachable drinks can still bring plenty of flavor and quality.
For September, we’re mixing with their Pomegranate Citrus, made with juicy Oregon Coast pomegranates and tart lemon juice for a light, refreshing sweet-tart sip. We can’t wait to pair it with Wilfred’s and see those bright fruit notes meet its deeper, bittersweet botanicals.
This one’s for anyone who finishes a ginger beer and thinks, I could use a little more ginger in there.
Devil’s Foot Fuego Ginger Beer brings exactly that, with extra fresh ginger for a little more zing and just enough sweetness to keep everything balanced. Based in Asheville, North Carolina, they work with organic roots and fruits and all-natural ingredients to create flavorful non-alcoholic drinks that are just as easy to enjoy on their own as they are mixed into something special. And this one has a kickkkkk, so you can only imagine the flavor explosion when we mix it with Wilfred’s.
Sometimes, all you need are a few drops to make something really special. Technically, Allways Drops Butterbrew only needs water... buttttttt why stop there when we can make a cocktail out of it?
This little bottle brings buttery caramel and creamy butterscotch notes, giving us the perfect (and simplest) way to add a little decadence to our day. It’s naturally flavored with zero sugar, zero calories, monk fruit sweetener, and no artificial dyes or preservatives.
And one bottle makes up to 50 drinks!!!! Yes, 50. We see plenty of Butterbrew cocktail experiments in our future.
And to Complete Our Reading…
You’ll also find skull-shaped ice molds in your box to add a little drama to your creations, plus star anise for that final finishing touch. To be fully prepared, we just recommend picking up fresh lime and raspberries.
Until then, put on our dreamy playlist and set the mood for what’s to come. If these recipes don’t showcase just how much magic can happen in a zero-proof glass, we don’t know what will. This curation has us completely Spellbound (😉), and we can’t wait for you to experience it.
