Summer is so close - the official start date is June 20th! And with the season comes sunshine, long evenings, BBQs, beach hangs, and that unmistakable summer energy.

But if you’re someone who’s trying to moderate your drinking or skip alcohol altogether, summer can come with a little added pressure - or even some triggers. Patios, parties, and late-night bonfires have long been tied to drinking and for many, that can be tricky to navigate. 

Here’s the truth: you can enjoy every bit of summer fun without alcohol in your glass. We know that, and we know you know that! Because what we love about the season isn’t the booze - it’s the long days, the connections, the early mornings, the drive to the lake... the everything.

If you’re looking to make this summer one that feels joyful, grounded, and hangover-free, here are a few zero-proof tips we love:

BYOB

Not sure what’s going to be served? Bring your own bevvie! Whether it’s your favorite NA beer, a canned paloma, or something fun you whipped up at home, showing up with something you want to drink takes the pressure off. 

Use Shortcuts

Don’t feel like whipping something up? Not a problem. There are so many amazing mixers, syrups, and instant cocktail packets out there that make things so easy. We love Craftmix & Leisuremann’s! Just add sparkling water and your favorite NA spirit (or skip the spirit entirely!) and you’ve got a fun, flavorful drink in seconds.

Romanticize Your Water

Yes - water! Hydration is everything, especially in the summertime! And guess what? It can totally be fun. Add frozen blueberries, fresh citrus, mint, coconut water, or your favorite electrolytes to make it special.

Our current go-to? A huge mason jar filled with ice, sparkling water straight from the soda stream, a bunch of lemon and a splash of Sweet Haven’s strawberry basil & chili tonic (from our Yo Mama box!). It’s sweet, spicy, and sooo satisfying.

Focus on the Moment, Not the Drink
