Heart & Sorrel

Heart & Sorrel was more than just a box—it was a celebration of culture, community, and connection. Created in partnership with Chris Marshall, founder of the pioneering alcohol-free space Sans Bar, this box honored the spirit of love and inclusion through every thoughtfully crafted pour.

Released during Black History Month and just in time for Valentine’s Day, the collection spotlighted Black-owned brands and founders shaping the future of the zero-proof movement. At the heart of each recipe was sorrel—also known as hibiscus—infused with warming spices and layered with vibrant botanicals for a cocktail experience rooted in Caribbean tradition.

Every sip was a love letter to heritage, flavor, and purpose. Whether you were toasting solo, with loved ones, or with community, this box invited you to raise a glass to what matters most.

Recipe #1

Que Sera

Ingredients

  • .75 oz. Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel
  • 6 oz. Casamara Club Sera
  • Dried Orange Slices
  • Ice

Instructions

In the bottom of a highball glass, muddle a few dried orange slices with the sorrel. Add ice. Using the back of a spoon, gently pour Casamara Club on top to achieve a layered appearance. Garnish with an additional orange slice.

Bee Mine

Ingredients

  • 1.25 oz. Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel
  • .5 oz. Lemon Juice
  • 6 oz. Siponey
  • Lemon Juice & Pink Peppercorn & Hibiscus for Rim

Instructions

Start by pouring a small amount of lemon juice onto a plate and gently rolling the rim of a tumbler in the juice to coat it evenly. On a separate plate, spread about a tablespoon of the garnish and roll the moistened rim of the glass in it until fully coated. Fill the glass with ice, pour in the sorrel, top if off with Siponey and stir gently to combine. Enjoy!
